What can I return?
Online purchases can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund, exchange or store credit, provided they are in new, unworn and unused condition with all original tags and hygiene stickers attached. For hygiene reasons, please try swimwear on over underwear. These conditions do not limit your rights where an item is faulty. Returns that don’t meet these conditions can’t be accepted; if you’d like the item sent back to you, return postage is at your cost.
Can I return sale items?
Yes. Sale items purchased online can be returned under the same conditions as full-price items. Baku does not exclude sale items as final sale for online returns.
How do I return an online order?
Visit our Returns Portal and follow the steps to lodge your return. Australian customers will receive a free return label through the portal. If you post a return with your own label, please use a trackable service — the parcel remains your responsibility until it reaches us.
How do exchanges work?
You can exchange for another size, colour or item, subject to availability. If the new item costs more, the difference will be charged. If it costs less, the difference will be refunded automatically.
How long will my refund take?
Once your return reaches us, we aim to process it within 2 business days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
What about gift cards, credit notes and promo codes?
Gift cards and credit notes cannot be refunded once issued. Where an order paid for using a gift card or credit note is eligible for a refund, a new gift card or credit note will be issued for the refunded amount. If a welcome discount or promotional code was applied to your order, your refund is calculated on the amount you paid.
Can I return an online purchase to a Baku store?
No. Online purchases and store purchases are managed separately, so online returns must be lodged through our Returns Portal. For purchases made in a Baku store, please refer to your receipt and in-store return policy.
What about items bought in a Baku boutique?
For purchases made in a Baku boutique, we gladly offer an exchange or store credit within 30 days, provided the goods are in their original condition with tags attached and your receipt is presented as proof of purchase. Store credit vouchers are valid for 3 years. Please choose carefully, as Baku does not issue refunds for change of mind on boutique purchases. Boutique purchases can’t be returned online. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
What if I bought from a stockist?
Purchases made through one of our stockists are covered by that retailer’s returns policy, so please contact them directly.
What if my item is faulty?
Faulty items can be lodged directly through the Returns Portal. You’ll be asked to provide details so our team can assess the item. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Do you accept international returns?
Yes. International customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping using a trackable service. Duties and taxes paid on the original order cannot be refunded by Baku. If an item is deemed faulty, reasonable return postage will be reimbursed in addition to the appropriate remedy.
Do you offer extended Black Friday and Christmas returns?
Yes. Orders placed from Black Friday through 24 December can be returned until 31 January, provided the items meet our usual return conditions.

Store credit
If you choose store credit, it is issued as a Baku online gift card and is valid for 3 years.
Original delivery charges
Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns.
Exchange availability
Exchange items are subject to stock availability. If your selected item sells out before your return is processed, we may issue a refund instead.
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through bakuswimwear.com.au and in Baku boutiques. It does not exclude or replace any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
